Vice President, Quantitative Strategies

Matthew is responsible for designing and implementing systematic investment strategies for the Savos investment platform. He joined Savos Investments in November 2018.

Prior to joining Savos, Matt led the US Equity iShares portfolio management team for BlackRock in San Francisco. His earlier portfolio management and research roles at Barclays Global Investors and U.S. Trust focused on international equities, commodities, and smart beta products for institutional and individual investors. Matt started his career in finance as a software developer and has led the design and implementation of fintech solutions ranging from securities lending platforms to mobile investment apps.  

Matt earned his MBA from The Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley and a BS in chemical engineering from the California Institute of Technology. He has guest lectured on exchange traded funds and financial risk analytics at UC Berkeley. Matt holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society San Francisco.
